378 Ballan Road Stages 1 & 2

The scope of this two-stage project was to install 2300m of stormwater drainage. This was a very typical residential subdivision. A combination of pipelines within roadways and easements, managing various backfill materials, working around a large number of machines and people within a site that is evolving daily.

This was another project that called for curved drainage alignments and concrete bandages due to larger joint deflections. Coordination between parties was vital as the proposed electrical ran underneath the drainage assets and careful attention towards the clearance became important for the project.

As part of the development’s primary outfall treatment, a six-metre-deep Atlan Vortceptor Gross Pollutant Trap needed to be installed. This unit will remove debris from the site before flowing into an existing waterway and ultimately a wetland, improving the overall environmental impact of the urbanisation in the area.
